100 Club (Home of the Gnome) – Sponsorship Opportunity

This week Scott Greenaway has picked up 20 Shire Gnomes for the forthcoming 2020/21 season. Shire Gnomes have been priceless to our club over the last couple of years.

Unfortunately because of Covid 19 our club’s current income is almost zero, with the 100 Club being our only regular source of income. As a way of helping the club with today’s costs Scott is offering up a home and away gnome to anyone who would like to sponsor the 100 Club for the 2020/21 season.

If anyone is interested in this sponsorship opportunity please DM Scott Greenaway or any member of the board for details and our promise is that we will never fail to promote you and your company every time we mention the 100 Club.

New Partnership With Fanbase

“We are delighted to announce our latest partnership!

Fanbase will be providing East Stirlingshire with mobile ticketing and fan management services for the upcoming season.

They will also help the club manage the ‘return of fans’ while helping meet the recommended track and trace protocols quickly and effectively on match day.

We are very excited to be working with Fanbase and look forward to helping improve the fan experience going forward while keeping everyone safe as we return supporters to our matches when this is approved.

When allowed all match tickets will be digital and available in advance for matches allowing the club to manage numbers within the ground and make all payments digital.

We will also be launching our season ticket offers very soon once a league restart date has been agreed and these again will only be available via our Fanbase App. Watch for updates and make sure you register and join the app.

Club Update – Training Restart; Protocols; Next Few Weeks; Thanks

Its been a long 186 days since the club last participated in any form of football or training but after considerable effort from everyone behind the scenes and with the help and agreement of Falkirk FC the boys will return to training on Tuesday 1st September.

All government and SFA guidelines will be adheard to so we will be restricting players to 18 and only 4 coaches will participate. All players will follow the guidelines and the club will be temperature testing and logging all players before sessions. Strict protocols are in place for all players and staff and the club has PPE and protocols in place for everyone concerned.

Over the last few weeks we have ensured that all coaches have completed the relevant Covid training and that Ian Fleming and Andy Williamson have taken up the posts of club Covid Officer and Covid coordinator respectively and completed the required training.

Thanks also have to be extended to Falkirk FC who have worked with us over the whole Covid period and especially over the last few weeks to allow us to take the first steps back to a return. The support from them from day one of lockdown right through has been fantastic.

The club needs to be very clear though that until further notice nobody outwith the named registered players, coaches and key staff can attend training, anybody popping in to try to see the new squad will be refused entry and indeed may completely jeopardise our clubs return to football. Please help us and stay away for now. We will be doing our best to update everyone via social media.

On a team note the boys are all desperate to return to training. During the summer everyone has been keeping fit with their own programs at home and it hopefully means a quick return to ball work on Tuesday. Derek and the coaching staff have added quality to the players retained from last year and are working on the final few signings to complete the 2020/21 squad.

At present and under the guidelines there will be no matches played although hopefully all going well we will be able to play friendly matches from 11th September. All the friendly matches need to be approved by the SFA so nothing can yet be confirmed.

It it our belief that all friendly games will be strictly closed door but we are looking at ways to broadcast or cover the best we can. This may change and we will update as we know more.

League restart, we are still awaiting official confirmation of when the Lowland league will restart and at present we have no indication as to a date or any fixtures. We await this news.

The board and everyone at the club would like to again thank everyone who has supported us over this unique period, without the support both financially and in kind we would not be looking forward to restating football. Many people have been very generous over the last few months and to everyone who has helped the club thank you all.

We made a decision to ensure everyone players and staff contracted to the club were fully paid through the lockdown or until a contract finished and we are pleased to say we achieved that goal.

Finally we have staff, directors and supporters who have worked as NHS staff, social care staff and key workers through this pandemic, as a club we thank you all and we are wearing a rainbow on our kits this season as a mark of our thanks to each and every one of you.

We will update as things progress.
