Arthur Bell

The club are saddened to learn of the passing earlier today of previous club coach Arthur Bell after a short illness.

Arthur was an integral part of John Coughlin’s backroom team and a very popular figure at the club.

Our thoughts are with his family and friends at this time. ❤️

Player Update – Jamie Dishington

On Wednesday the club attended a compensation tribunal at Hampden Park convened by the SFA to set a development compensation fee for Jamie Dishington’s move from Spartans to Shire in the close season.

At the point of the move in the summer and prior to the tribunal Shire had offered a club record fee to Spartans for Jamie which they respectfully rejected.

The Shire were pleased that the SFA panel set a reasonable and reflective fee for a player of Jamie’s talent that hopefully both sides feel is a fair valuation.

The fee set makes Jamie our new club record signing breaking the previous record paid for Colin McKinnon to Falkirk in 1991

Player news – Andy Grant

The club have today concluded an agreement that sees Andy Grant go out on loan to Broxburn Athletic for the rest of the season.

We wish Andy and Broxburn well for the rest of the season.
