Signing news – Graeme MacGregor

Graeme has become a central figure in midfield this season and his displays have haven’t gone unnoticed with Manager Derek Ure moving to ensure he is around to play his part in next seasons title push.

G recently notched up his 150th Shire appearance and will be looking to add to that.

Signing news – Paul McCafferty

Shire are delighted that Paul McCafferty has put pen to paper and agreed to stay for his second season.

Paul has been an ever present in the team this year and Derek was pleased that P Mc has extended his stay and bolstered his 2019/20 squad.

New signing – Sean Brown (Cumbernauld Colts)

Derek Ure is delighted to welcome 21 year old striker Sean Brown to his squad for 2019/20 season.

Derek said “Sean has been on our radar for a while as he has a physicality to his game along with goals and this will be a great addition to the squad” Although only 21 Sean has a number of years Lowland league experience with Cumbernauld Colts and has given us problems over the last few years when he has played against us and many other sides.

Sean will join up with the squad in June for pre season.

Signing News – Eddie Malone (Forfar Athletic)

Shire are delighted to have agreed a pre contract agreement with Eddie Malone for season 2019/20.

Derek Ure is delighted to have secured the vastly experienced SPFL defender who was also high on rival teams wanted lists for next season. Eddie who currently is playing and seeking promotion with Forfar Athletic in league 1 has played over 410 SPFL matches over his career with St Johnstone, Clyde, St Mirren, Dundee, Raith, Ayr United amongst his previous clubs.

Derek Ure said “I am delighted to have Eddie as part of the squad for next season, he not only brings massive experience but also the winning mentality and competitive spirit I want from every player in my squad. I am building a squad to take this club back to the SPFL next season and Eddie will play a key role in that and when we spoke to Eddie he bought into our vision”. Eddie will join up with the squad for pre season in July but everyone wishes him and Forfar well in their current promotion push.

Andy Williamson, Club Secretary, East Stirlingshire FC

Signing news – Andy Grant

Manager Derek Ure adds defender Andy Grant to his 2019/20 squad. Andy will enter his 4th Lowland League campaign after he agreed to stay on for another year. Andy gained his place in ‘Shire history by scoring the club’s first-ever Lowland League goal against Vale of Leithen in August 2016.

The club are delighted to see Andy remain as he becomes Derek’s 3rd squad member for next season.

Signing News – Connor Greene

Signing news.

‪Connor Greene says yes to season number six with the Shire as he becomes Derek Ure’s second confirmed squad member for the 2019/20 season. Voted supporter player of the year again last night the fans favourite will add to his already massive Shire appearance tally of 192 matches and 25 goals. Since his debut for the Shire in 2014/15 he had become a virtual ever present at the heart of defence.

The club are delighted to have Connor back for next season where he joins Club Captain Jamie Barclay as the gaffers squad takes shape.

Updates over the next few days and weeks as the squad for next year develops.

Shire Chair Raffle

A Massive thanks goes once again to Pauline Reynolds for bringing this Shire chair over from America and allowing us to raffle it yesterday.

Thanks also goes to everyone who bought a ticket which raised the amazing figure of £385.

Congratulations goes to Davie Bullard who’s lucky ticket 313 was drawn at the Awards evening last night making him the proud new owner of the Shire Chair.
