BOTTOM OF THE LEAGUE

Football supporters don't like to see their team at the bottom of the league, but there is one table Shire fans are happy to be last in.

It's the Third Division crime count league.

The team's tally of 24 yellow cards and one red is the lowest of any of the ten teams in the division this season.

Shire's only sending-off in the league happened on the opening day when David Dunn was given his marching orders in the 1-0 win at Annan Athletic on 15th August.

Since then the only other red card was Michael Bolochoweckyj's in the Scottish Cup match at Forfar Athletic.

A look through the distribution of the twenty four yellow cards shows some interesting things. Topping the Shire's own table of trouble are Paul Weaver and Andy Rodgers, the closest two to a suspension with the defenders nowhere in sight.
