JIM ENJOYING SUCCESS
Coach Jim McInally says it's not just the results that have been pleasing of late. He is also enjoying the team's performances.
Six wins on the bounce have propelled Shire into second place in the league and there is no happier man with that the coach. But he says the manner of the wins is also encouraging.
Jim says that was typifed by the 2-0 victory over Stranraer.
"It was what I would call a 'real' game of football where we had to battle our corner before we eventually came out on top," he said. "I am finding it enjoyable at the moment and it is good we are being tested in this way,
"Stranraer are not a bad side and they have some dangerous players. We had to fight hard and wear them down and most of our recent games have been like that."
Although the club is riding high the coach says it does not mean the fans should expect fantasy football every week.
"What people have to remember is that the opposition won't always let you do that," he said. "And being near the top of the league challenging as we are brings a pressure on the players which maybe means they won't feel a freedom to express themselves.
"But to go on a run of six straight league wins is great at any level of football and our aim is to try and make it seven on Saturday."
